Cold Brew!
The warm weather is coming and our Kick-ASS Colombian Cold Brew recipe is super easy. With step by step instructions there’s no more guessing how much coffee or water to use. Just follow the instructions and enjoy.
Things you’ll need:
- 1 gallon container. I like the ones with a spout.
- Large reusable mesh cold brew coffee bags. You can use cheese cloth but I like that the bags have a draw string so I can easily close it.
- Digital food scale.
- 8 oz of ground Kick-Ass Colombian Coffee
Instructions:
- Weigh out 8 oz of ground Brickhouse Kick-Ass Colombian Coffee
- Put the coffee in the reusable mesh bag and seal bag.
- Put the bag in the gallon container and pour 1 gallon of cold water in container making sure the bag with all coffee grounds are submerged.
- Cover container and let brew for 12-16 hrs.
- After the coffee is done brewing, take the coffee bag out and strain the excess coffee into the container.
- ENJOY
If you don’t have room in the refrigerator you can certainly leave it on the counter to brew. It won’t go bad but if you want a cold cup of coffee as soon as it’s done with out ice I would make some room. If you like the taste of cold brew but want it hot you can simply heat it up. It will not change the taste of the cold brew since the brewing is already done. With a cold brew, you will notice much stronger flavors than you will with a hot brew and with much less acidity. When using our Kick-Ass Colombian you will notice some serious chocolate and caramel flavors going on in there.
You can make your cold brew with any coffee but we recommend using a really hi quality coffee like our KAC to ensure you make the best Kick-ASS Colombian Cold Brew EVER!
